A week of wintering.

When I moved from Boston to live by the beach in LA I swore I’d never live anywhere cold again. Ever. I’ve never liked winter, don’t know how to ski and prefer to admire snow from afar, preferably on a warm beach somewhere.
Now that I live in Boulder, I realize I need to get over it and this week I’m going to get out and embrace winter in all its glory. I’m going to try out activities I’ve avoided before or that I failed miserably at the first time around (skiing for one). This will be one of those weeks I’ll be venturing out of my comfort zone.
By the end of the week I hope to find some activities I enjoy that will get me out of the house and enjoying the beauty of what’s around me here in Colorado. Luckily after signature cocktail week, I will have a nice way to reward myself at the end of the day.
I’m dedicating this week to my friend Sally, who has diligently been trying to get me to go skiing for more than a decade…a further explanation on that incident later in the week.
