it’s ukulele time

I’ve never really learned how to play a musical instrument other than a short stint trying to learn guitar in college (which didn’t yield all that much). I think a ukulele is much more my speed and while in NY this week I picked up an inexpensive one at a store on the Lower East Side.
Ukuleles have made a resurgence over the years, from Israel Kamakawiwo’ol’s rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow to the Magnetic Fields. There’s lots of great music out there the ukulele has lent itself to.
I’ll see how far I get beyond You are My Sunshine.
