Snake River fly fishing

October 4, 2011 § 1 Comment

In my family, there was no clear division between religion and fly fishing – Norman Maclean, A River Runs Through It.

I can’t think of a more beautiful setting to learn how to fly fish this week. Hopefully the weather cooperates with us. Everything is pretty much closing up for the season here in Jackson Hole. We did talk some poor sucker into taking my sister & I out with my 6 year old nephew. Hope he knows what he’s in for.

I’ve fished before but never learned how to fly fish. In Colorado you see people fly fishing just about everywhere you go, so I figured it would be a fun thing to learn. I have no idea what to expect. People make it look so graceful and easy but I suspect there’s a lot more to finding the rhythm of it.
